Using kids to express one's political views is the same as using a child actor to advertise one's product. It seems like the male lawyer has a double standard there.

Is he also calling all shops that offer food samples child abusers? They give kids a taste, but then no more. If the kids cry because of it, it's hardly child abuse.

This really is a storm in a teacup, all the better for your publicity I suppose. Hope your wife keeps up the good work.

A Jewish photographer had a show in NYC depicting Palestinian women and children crying. In her statement she wrote that for one Jew killed, ten
Palestinian women and children are killed.
"They" (NEA? CIA? GW?) closed the show in a week.

We're in a lot of trouble in this country. Best to you.

The photos and story reminded me of Sally Mann almost immediately, and all the trouble she went through for her images.
I think most people are looking entirely too deeply into the subject. A child crying of course is sad, but when someone takes a picture of adults crying - then it's ok. I don't believe that these photographs qualify as child abuse. It's not as if she bribed these children off the street with a piece of candy, there parents were right there. Shouldn't the childrens parents also be feeling the "heat" from all this, because they gave permission? By no means should your wife qualify as insane. It just makes me angry to think about how close minded people are. Photographers redo crime scenes as art, the depict gore as art..and then you have young children crying. In all their glory, they are young and innocent..crying because they don't know any better. I'm young, I'm only entering college and even I know that a big part of any artists work now is shock value. An artist wants to make people react and that's what your wife did.

Shameful that all the negative energy expended on criticising Ms. Greenberg's work is not directed toward the actual subject(s) of the artwork. How trivial it seems, taking candy from a baby, when those unnamed are taking the future from our children. Excellent work.
